  • Overview

    Job Purpose:

    The Support Supervisor will be the support team manager as well as the support team technical SME for core operational responsibilities.


    Manages day to day activity of all support team personnel duties to include:

    • Companywide communication of major events, changes or issues.
    • SME (design, build, operate, train, document) for user account management processes and access controls to include GPO rules.
    • SME (design, build, operate, train, document) for user internet content filtering and exception policy management.
    • Detect, escalate and drive resolution to user or application related issues.
    • Operational documentation.
    • Conducts performance reviews for his/her team.
    • Development and training of support team associates.
    • Weekly communication meetings.


    Additionally will drive out major operational infrastructure changes to include:

    • Changes to the outsourced Email platform
    • WSUS patching
    • Anti-virus deployment
    • Server auditing and logging
    • Security/badge system upgrades


    Candidate has strong communication skills to include verbal and written and has demonstrated a proven ability to manage and lead people, conduct meetings, manage timekeeping, and conduct associate reviews. Candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, documentation skills and experience using help desk systems, as well as a proven ability to work with customers/clients. Candidate has hands on experience implementing and administering enterprise tools such as Symantec A/V, HP SIM, Solarwinds, Change Auditor, and Retina Vulnerability scanning.


     Candidate is well versed in at least 3 of the following senior level engineering skills:


    • Network design, build and administration to include DMZ's, firewall's, vlan's and IP administration on major platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
    • Active Directory design, build and administration of a medium to large size domain.
    • Storage design, build and administration to include NAS and Block level storage as well as Fiber channel integration on major platforms such as Netapp, EMC and Cisco.
    • Application design, build and administration of web based applications primarily deployed on IIS ,.NET and SQL server.
    • Virtualization design, build and administration to include ESX installation, and use of specific hardware such as Cisco UCS or HP blades.
    • Network appliance design, build and administration to include Fortinet Firewalls, Barracuda Content filtering appliances, and Citrix Netscaler load balancing appliances.
    • Design , build and administration of Citrix servers
    • Design, build and administration of MS servers for File and Print, SQL Server, MS Exchange as well as small application or utility servers in a medium to large MS server 
    • Has built virtual servers and has deployed VM server templates. Is familiar with VM tools used to operate and maintain virtual server environment.
