Legal Technology Consultants are critical members of this mid-sized ediscovery and information governance company, trusted advisors to some of the world’s leading businesses and the backbone of the Advisory Services team. In this high profile position you will report directly to the Vice President of Advisory Services and rely on years of law and technology experience, your uncanny ability to explain and address complex enterprise data challenges, and your business savvy to help current and future customers.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Relativity and Nuix technical expert who possesses a deep understanding of the various legal and compliance challenges facing businesses resulting from the explosive growth and mismanagement of data. Your primary role will be to help define technical workflows for complex E-Discovery projects and to work with clients and internal teams to document, clearly convey and implement those workflows throughout each project’s lifecycle. You will also serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between customers and the internal sales, engineering and project management teams and will assist with technology assisted review (TAR) and related data analytics projects designed to optimize data processing, identification and review.
In addition to understanding common enterprise IT systems, architectures and tools used to create, manage and store data, the ideal candidate will also have experience dealing with many, but not necessarily all, of the following areas: E-Discovery, data indexing technologies, computer forensics, data collection, data security, data privacy, data analytics, data classification, technology assisted review or continuous active learning, data deletion, retention and data management technologies.
You will also have the opportunity to lead longer term strategic consulting engagements to help our customers implement or improve internal best practices related to E-Discovery. Depending on your qualifications, you may also have the opportunity to lead data privacy and security consulting engagements to help customers comply with the General Data Protection (GDPR), records classification requirements and a host of other data management and analytics initiatives.
You will commonly help assess client issues and areas of risk and cost, recommend both technical and process oriented solutions and assist with implementing those solutions, documenting workflows and conducting ongoing audits and training. You will also provide guidance and feedback to internal DiscoverReady Engineering/Development teams to identify new product development, consulting and partnership opportunities.
