  • Overview

    This position is expected to be the main technical support staff for the Hosting Department and the front line between PM and IT and DiscoverReady’s hosted platform. The main function of this role is to understand and repair technical problems that may arise during daily loading processes delivered from ED and Processing departments.  The secondary function of this role is to support, through testing, research and documentation, the external support teams.  The Technology Specialist is responsible for application testing (as requested by the Department Manager), new technology research (as requested by the Department Manager), existing issue research and resolution, and Hardware/Software testing and implementation (as requested by IT). This position is responsible for supporting an environment with high-volume throughput of diverse data and data types of varying sizes and complexity and building database scripts to perform various data manipulation tasks for project teams. Responsible for executing tasks relating to preparing and loading of tiffed and native format documents and related data in litigation database systems.


    • Test and Evaluate Data
    • Diagnose and Repair Data Problems / Load Data / Create workspaces and set User Permissions
    • Test and Evaluate Software Issues and Solutions
    • Responsible for providing litigation technology support to the legal team.
    • Document Issues and solutions to use for future review and use
    • Monitor Processes for weaknesses and inefficiencies
    • Report all issues, problems, diagnosis, evaluations, and resolutions to other departments and teams
    • Work with engineering teams to facilitate testing and reporting
    • Generate Emails and reports about problems and issues
    • Prioritize Tasks


    • A solid understanding of and Experience with Hosted Platforms (including Relativity, Concordance, Ringtail, etc.)
    • A keen working knowledge of the litigation process and a strong understanding of the use of technology to support litigation efforts with an emphasis on discovery, document productions (including electronic data), electronic document management, coding and legal review protocols
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven team environment
    • Highly Detail Oriented
    • Good Organizational Skills
    • Experience in Issue/Problem resolution and strong troubleshooting skills with both software and hardware as it applies to our clients’ ability to access and view their database records. Ability to systematically verify functionality and communicate fixes as required.
    • Extensive Computer Background
    • Ability to share information (verbally and written) to all members of a team
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications as they work with related applications
    • Ability to work with others in a team environment
    • Self Starter
    • Background and experience with SQL Server and related SQL tools a plus
    • Relativity Certified Admin designation a plus
    • Experience performing QA/QC duties a plus
