  • Overview

    Provides leadership, coaching or mentoring to other members of the team. Has both in depth and broad knowledge or expertise on most products and processes. May provide consultation on complex enterprise-wide projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. May assist in the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure including but not limited to enhancing current products or processes. Responsible for researching newer technologies and making recommendations for such technologies that would benefit specific areas within the company.


    Participates in project team meetings, working closely with Sales, Consulting, Project Management, Technical Services and Engineering ensuring that the workflow on a project is systematically sound and that the processes specified can be performed internally or by an approved outsource supplier. May be responsible to host a meeting on any project; potentially placing that project on temporary hold until the issue has been resolved, accepted or escalated for a larger company discussion. Expected to participate in the development of and writing of the workflow, product or process specifications. Identifies testing parameters and ensuring that data complies to specifications by being responsible for duties such as first article inspections, understanding case needs and having a wide degree of creativity and latitude towards development of solutions.


    Contributes towards and may be responsible for providing support to the organization’s case/Client efforts through the use of technology and critical thinking. Responsibilities also include providing equipment functionality and capability reports –acting as a technical liaison to other departments that are internal or client facing. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Follows and maintains all corporate change control and audit requirements. May require 7-10+ years of experience in the field, specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. 



    • Collaborates with project stakeholders to gather project requirements to develop or improve company products, systems, or technical processes or solutions. Develops a project scope or execution plan based on project stakeholder feedback and cost/benefit analysis. 
    • Develops technical product specifications and workflows. Responsible for preparing training materials and conducting internal product or process demonstrations as needed.
    • Acts as a technical liaison to other departments and may be responsible for providing support to the organization’s Case/Client efforts through the use of technology and critical thinking.
    • Participates in case work, research projects, data analysis, and product testing.
    • May need to be available afterhours to help resolve technical issues, or client needs depending on product support.
    • Acts as a project participant or lead; ensures the workflow is systematically sound and that specified processes can be performed internally (or by an outsourced supplier); hosts project team meetings as needed.
    • Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
    • Knowledge of EDRM workflow and Electronic Discovery best practices.


    •   3 - 5 years of experience in the litigation support industry (positions might include, but are not limited to, consultant, project manager, senior analyst, technical consultant, or e-discovery staff manager).
    • Hands on experience with litigation support products, process management, and/or data manipulation for client needs required.
    • Proven ability to provide leadership and consultative input required.
    • Ability to provide technical work product and to provide technical input on others' work product required.
    • Knowledgeable of MS SQL Server Management Studio.  Must have knowledge of SQL Queries or other script languages.
    • Working knowledge of one or more of the following tools:  Relativity, iConect, NUIX, Law, Index Engines, NexLP, Brain Space, Concordance, Ringtail, Clearwell, Nuix, eCapture, and/or Discovery Cracker is highly desired.
    • Experience in one or more areas of the following technical areas is preferred: Data Processing, Data Troubleshooting, Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Collections or Forensics, Database Management, or Technical Consulting/Engineering is preferred.
